Job Summary
Medical Surgical Nurse (MS) Carthage, TN
This position involves providing comprehensive nursing care on a Medical/Surgical floor within a critical access hospital. The role requires delivering high-quality patient care for adult and geriatric patients, with occasional pediatric cases, in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Job Details
- Position: Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical (MS) nursing
- Location: Carthage, TN
- Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week; rotating weekends
- Required Qualifications: Active ACLS and BLS certifications, ADN or BSN degree, Tennessee Abuse Registry check, one or more years of experience, and at least 60 miles from the facility
- Additional Responsibilities: Experience with IV therapy, Foley catheters, pain management, and electronic medication administration records (EMAR)
- Preferred Qualifications: Ability to provide friendly and compassionate patient care, works well with others
- Position Notes: No float requirements, unit handles adult and geriatric patients with some pediatric cases. Unit has 18 beds with patient ratios of 1:5, using Meditech electronic health record system.
