Job Summary
Nashville, TN Medical Surgical Floor position supporting care for adult medical-surgical patients in a 25-bed unit. The role requires strong assessment abilities, familiarity with intravenous pumps and medication dispensing cabinets, and participation in unit-based clinical procedures and patient-experience practices.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Every-other-weekend coverage is required, with flexible weekday scheduling.
- Assignment Period: 11/02/202602/01/2027.
- Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; strong assessment skills; experience with intravenous pumps and medication dispensing cabinets; proficiency with intravenous and urinary catheter placement.
- Preferred Qualifications: Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification.
- Additional Information: The unit uses wound-vac equipment, telehealth, virtual-sitter equipment, remote telemetry, and patient-lifting equipment. Patient assignments generally range from five to six patients on day shifts and six patients on night shifts. Unit responsibilities include bedside shift reporting, hourly rounding, and collaboration with unit support staff. Black or royal blue scrubs are required.
