Medical Surgical Floor Nurse Chattanooga, Tennessee. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care on a general medical and surgical unit. The selected candidate will have a strong orthopedic background and be committed to patient-centered care during night shifts, working 12-hour nights with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: RN License, 1 year of experience, valid certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), and a strong orthopedic care background
- Preferred Qualifications: Compassion and teamwork skills, experience with knee and hip replacements and multi-level spine surgeries
- Responsibilities: Providing comprehensive patient care, assisting with procedures related to orthopedic surgeries, and adhering to hospital unit policies and guidelines
- Certifications: BLS required; additional certifications are preferred but not specified
- Additional Information: Candidate must have experience in orthopedic procedures such as knee and hip replacements and spinal surgeries. The unit utilizes Meditech documentation system, and team members are expected to rotate through floating policy. The unit offers opportunities to work with new equipment and technology, with a focus on skilled, experienced staff and flexible scheduling options.
