Job Details
- Position Description: Provide care for postoperative orthopedic, spine, and podiatry patients within a medical-surgical unit.
- Unit Information: 30 beds, potential to expand to 36 beds, staffed by 45 employees including clinical coordinators, RNs, techs, and unit secretaries.
- Shift Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid CPR certification, active BLS certification, minimum of 1 year of recent medical-surgical nursing experience, and current licensure in the state of Virginia.
- Preferred Qualifications: PALS certification, experience caring for pediatric patients, familiarity with post-operative orthopedic care.
- Additional Information: Candidates should demonstrate strong communication skills, a team-oriented attitude, and the ability to advocate for patients effectively. The unit values a positive personality fit and professional appearance in navy blue or white scrubs.
