Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor Richmond, VA. This role provides care for patients in a telemetry, medical-surgical, and trauma setting. The position requires a positive, high-energy approach, strong patient focus, and the ability to work night shifts in a collaborative clinical environment.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications; successful completion of a basic rhythm test.
- Preferred Qualifications: Medical-surgical experience and demonstrated excellent patient focus.
- Schedule: Night shift; 12-hour shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: The unit supports telemetry, medical-surgical, and trauma patients, with typical patient ratios of 5 to 6 patients per nurse. Clinical responsibilities may include small incision and drainage procedures, peritoneal dialysis, and occasional thoracentesis. Navy scrubs are required, and cotton jackets are not permitted.
