Medical Surgical Nurse (MS) Nights Located in southeastern Washington, this role involves providing care on a Medical Surgical floor within a teaching hospital serving the Tri-Cities area. The position requires delivering quality patient care in a facility with a focus on geriatric and adult populations, with a diverse range of diagnoses and treatments. The role offers an opportunity to work in a scenic environment, known for recreational activities and wine country, with a focus on patient safety and clinical excellence.

  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (must have training in ACLS or rhythm interpretation course); at least 2 years of experience as a Medical Surgical Nurse; valid nursing license; experience with EKG/Cardiac Monitoring, Respiratory assessment and support, Medication titration.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with common diagnoses such as alcohol detoxification, post-percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA)/Hyperosmolar Hyperglycemic State (HHS), and BIPAP.
  • Additional Information: The unit features 16 private rooms, with patient ratios of approximately 1:4, and accommodations for acuity up to 1:3. The environment supports an adult and geriatric patient population, utilizing EHR systems to maintain accurate patient records.
