Job Summary:
Medical Surgical RN Location: Not Specified. This position involves providing high-quality nursing care in a Medical Surgical unit within a healthcare facility. The role supports patient recovery by performing clinical tasks, including IV insertions and catheter placements, while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and comfort.
Job Details:
- Certifications, Education, and Experience: Must hold current NIH (National Institutes of Health), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications. At least 1 year of nursing experience required, with a minimum of one completed travel assignment.
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour hours, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Responsibilities: Ability to start IVs, insert Foley catheters, and NG tubes. Experience in performing EKGs and managing heparin drips is preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with a 1:6 patient ratio and handling high turnover.
- Additional Information: The unit has 48 beds and cares for a diverse adult patient population. Candidates may need to float to inpatient rehab or emergency room occasionally.
