Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor (MS) in a healthcare facility located on the 4th floor of a tower building. This position involves providing care in a 24-bed unit with a focus on med-surg patient management. The selected candidate will be expected to work night shifts, with a guarantee of 48 hours per week, starting December 14, 2026, and ending March 15, 2027. The role requires adaptability to a fast-paced environment with a diverse patient population.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting 12/14/2026 and ending 03/15/2027.
- Required Qualifications: Candidates must have no less than 1 year of inpatient acute care experience, basic dysrhythmias knowledge, and respective certifications.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in trauma centers is highly desirable.
- Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information:
- Unit features include BLS and NIHSS certifications.
- Typical procedures performed include IVs insertion/management/removal, central line management/removal, Foley, NGs, drain, and wound care.
- Equipment used on the unit encompasses Alaris IV pumps, Hoyer, Sarah Steady Feeding pumps, Welch Allyn Vital Sign Machines, iMobile Vein Finder, and Virtual Admission RN (10a-10pm).
- Dress code requires royal blue scrubs, with black pants permitted.
- The unit team comprises 7 staff members, including 1 charge nurse per shift, 4 RNs or LPNs, and 2 PCTs.
- Patient ratios are 6:1.
- Candidate must have prior inpatient acute care experience and basic dysrhythmias skills, with trauma center experience preferred.
- The candidate must adhere to the dress code, and candidates with trauma center experience will be prioritized.
