Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or a compact RN license eligible for assignment start
• At least 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• Current BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required; pending completion accepted
• CPI certification preferred
• Experience providing bedside care for adult and geriatric patients
• Comfortable working with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio and floating to like units as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality bedside care for Med/Surg and neuro patients in a fast-paced hospital setting
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status accurately in Epic electronic health records
• Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with clinical standards
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and support rapid response activation when needed
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and other interdisciplinary team members
• Support patients with wound care, IV therapy, oxygen therapy, feeding tubes, and other common Medical-Surgical interventions
• Float to like units within scope based on patient care needs
