Job Summary
Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) General Medicine Located in the Birmingham area. This position involves providing comprehensive patient care on a medical surgical floor, with a focus on general medicine patients. The role requires a dedicated healthcare professional capable of working efficiently during night shifts to meet patient needs and support the clinical team.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours guaranteed per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS certification, NIHSS certification, at least 2 years of clinical experience in acute care, proficiency in interdisciplinary communication, and experience with Basic Medication Administration (BCMA).
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience working on a medical surgical floor, familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Additional Information:
    • Position located on a 24-bed general medicine unit.
    • Nurse-to-patient ratio approximately 1:6.
    • Must adhere to dress code: navy blue scrubs. Fingernails must comply with TJC and CMS guidelines; shoes must be close-toed with backs.
    • No call requirements.
    • The scheduled start date for this role is 09/14/2026, with the assignment ending on 12/14/2026.
