Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse MS Specialty Location: Not specified. This role involves providing high-quality patient care within a post surgical care unit, supporting teamwork and effective communication with medical staff. The position requires flexibility to float between units within a 35-mile radius, based on staffing needs and patient acuity.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: License verification, professional ascension badge photo, drivers license/state ID, ascension profile, two professional references, and resume.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in medical-surgical nursing.

- Additional Information:
- Floating between units/facilities within a 35-mile radius may be required based on staffing needs, patient census, and acuity.
- The unit provides post-operative surgical care to general surgery patients, including those with bowel obstruction, wound infection, gastrointestinal cancers, and morbid obesity.
- Patients are hemodynamically stable and do not require mechanical ventilation.
- The patient population served includes young adult through late adult (18-60+).
- Nurse to patient ratio is 1:6 with a variable staffing grid including RNs, LPNs, PCTs, and NIs.
- Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test and BLS certification are required.
