Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical – Albuquerque, NM 87109

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico

Schedule: Day shift, 4x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30). Flexible 36 or 48 hour weekly options available. Weekend coverage required. Patient ratio of 6:1.

Highlights:

• 13-week travel assignment in a 30-bed Medical Surgical unit with daily census of 24 patients
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Rapid Response Teams, and more
• Epic charting system utilized throughout the facility
• Opportunity for up to 48 hours straight time per week
• 12-hour orientation provided with onsite module completion
• Caring for adult and geriatric patient populations

Requirements:

• Active New Mexico or Compact RN license (pending license accepted if obtained prior to start date)
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• First-time travelers accepted; unit welcomes new travel nurses
• Must be willing to float within scope to like units as needed
• Must reside outside 50-mile local radius
• Proficiency in skills including IV management, telemetry monitoring, wound care, blood product administration, and various medical/surgical procedures
