• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (6:45 AM - 7:15 PM)

• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: Required
• Charting System: Epic
• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Active Illinois RN license in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS preferred
• Experience caring for adult and geriatric patients
• Comfortable working in a float pool environment
• Strong skills in telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation, and tracheostomy care/management
• Ability to provide care in a high-acuity, team-oriented setting

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to Med/Surg patients
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Monitor telemetry and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Support tracheostomy care and management as part of routine nursing duties
• Administer treatments and medications in accordance with nursing standards and facility protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to promote positive outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and communicate patient updates effectively
• Adapt quickly to floating assignments while maintaining a high standard of care
