Description

American Traveler is hiring a Medical Surgical RN for a 13-week day shift assignment requiring 2 years of experience and a valid OK or Compact RN license.

Details

• Work on a 24-bed Medical Surgical unit
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (6:45 AM to 7:15 PM), 36 hours per week
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Uses Epic for documentation
• Floating to like units within scope required based on facility needs, with brief orientation provided

Requirements

• Active OK or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Skilled in isolation precautions/PPE, non-invasive airway management, IV therapy/phlebotomy, peripheral line care, cardiac monitoring, and emergency response including rapid response/code teams

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit including respiratory and cardiac monitoring support
• Navy scrub color required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply for this unit
• Travel pairs or groups are not accepted
• Former permanent staff must be separated from employment for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
• Local candidates within 75 miles are not accepted
