The Medical Surgical (MS) Specialty Nurse position is located in Tyler, Texas. This role involves providing care on a Medical-Surgical Floor with telemetry capabilities, catering to a diverse patient population ranging from young adults to geriatrics. The position offers an opportunity to work on a busy unit with a focus on patient-centered care and interdisciplinary collaboration.

  • Additional Information:
    • Unit is a Medical-Surgical / Telemetry unit with 18 private rooms and 1 semi-private room for a maximum census of 20 patients.
    • Patient population includes young adults through geriatrics with a broad range of care needs.
    • Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary.
    • Travel eligibility excludes residents of specified counties in Texas.
    • Onboarding includes completing core items and labs within 48 hours of the contract start date, with onsite modules during orientation lasting approximately 4-6 hours.
