Job Summary
Medical Surgical Rehabilitation Floor Asheville, NC. This position provides nursing care in an inpatient acute rehabilitation setting serving patients recovering from illnesses, injuries, stroke, traumatic brain injury, and amputation. The role supports personalized care across a collaborative rehabilitation environment with access to specialized equipment and clinical support.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shifts, 12 hours per shift, three shifts per week, totaling 36 hours per week; weekend shifts are typically included.
- Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; medical-surgical or rehabilitation nursing experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in an acute rehabilitation setting; medical-surgical nursing experience.
- Additional Information:
- Inpatient rehabilitation setting with approximately 65 beds across connected units.
- Patient assignments generally include five to six patients.
- Certified Nursing Assistants are available on all shifts, with unit secretary support.
- Equipment includes intravenous pumps, specialty beds, feeding pumps, lifts, transfer equipment, and life vests.
- Two dialysis rooms are available, with dialysis services performed by specialized nurses.
- Required attire consists of navy scrubs with white tops.
- The organization offers a friendly, collaborative work environment in a mountain community.
