Rehabilitation Nurse (RN) for inpatient rehabilitation hospital located in a state-of-the-art facility. The position involves caring for a diverse patient population with conditions such as strokes, traumatic brain injuries, orthopedic surgeries, motor vehicle accidents, and other neurological or trauma-related diagnoses. The role requires delivering specialized, intense rehabilitation care tailored to individual needs, with an emphasis on maximizing recovery and quality of life.

Job Details:

  • Location: Inpatient rehabilitation hospital with 59 beds, including a designated neuro unit.
  • Schedule: Nights shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license (PA license or accepted license from a compact state), Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, minimum of 1 year of healthcare experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Rehabilitation or acute care experience.
  • Patient Population: Variable, including adult patients with debility, traumatic brain injuries (TBI), cerebrovascular accidents (CVA), and neurological or orthopedic diagnoses.
  • Unit Equipment: Hoyer lifts, glucometer, INR machine.
  • Unit Overview: Nurse-to-patient ratio of approximately 1:6 to 1:7; support staff includes techs and specialized equipment as listed.
  • Additional Notes: Report time varies; scrub colors are navy blue for nurses and hunter green for techs. No call requirements and no float rotation specified.
