Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg or acute care nursing experience
• At least 1 prior travel nurse assignment required
• BLS certification from AHA required
• NIHSS certification from AHA required
• Experience with MEDITECH preferred, but not required
• Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and occasional holidays
• Strong communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and clinical assessment skills

Med/Surg Nursing Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, and effective nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients
• Monitor patient conditions, assess changes, and respond appropriately to clinical needs
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to support patient recovery
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record
• Support patient education, discharge planning, and family communication
• Float to other acute care areas as needed based on unit needs
• Maintain a patient-focused approach while working efficiently in a fast-paced hospital environment
