Job Summary
Registered Nurse Medical Surgical Orthopedic Floor. Provides independent and delegated nursing care, including patient assessment, care planning, treatment implementation, health education, and ongoing evaluation. The role includes a rotating 12-hour schedule and may involve on-call responsibilities or assignment to other departments within the scope of competency.
Job Details
- Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN).
- Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification as appropriate for the unit or service.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Bachelors degree in Nursing.
- Certification appropriate for the unit or service.
- Additional Information:
- Provides nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Performs health teaching, health counseling, therapy, and treatment.
- Executes delegated medical functions and refers patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed.
- Reviews and monitors therapy and treatment plans.
- Documents care in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
- May be required to float to other departments within the scope of competency and qualifications.
- May be required to participate in on-call coverage during a regularly scheduled shift.
