Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical Orthopedic Floor, Birmingham, AL. This position provides care for postoperative surgical patients in a fast-paced orthopedic setting. The role requires strong time management, a positive attitude, dependable attendance, confidence, and the ability to think quickly while delivering safe, compassionate patient care.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 06:4519:15, three shifts per week, 36 hours per week; every other weekend required.
• Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse with at least 2 years of experience; Basic Life Support (BLS) and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Preferred Qualifications: Medical-surgical, orthopedic, and postoperative experience preferred.
• Additional Information:
  • Provides care for surgical patients on a 30-bed unit with a 6:1 patient ratio.
  • Bedside shift report is required.
  • No call requirement.
  • Float rotation may be required.
  • Navy scrubs are required.
  • Long, gel, wrapped, dipped, or artificial nails are not permitted.
