Job Summary
Medical Surgical Orthopedic Nurse in Corpus Christi, TX This position involves providing specialized care in a Neuro/Orthopedic unit within a busy hospital setting. The role entails managing patients with orthopedic and neurological conditions, including those requiring chest tube management, non-titrated Cardizem and Amiodarone drips, and weight-based heparin infusions.

• Shift Hours: 12 hours per shift
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); educational requirements include relevant licensure; location requirement: candidate must be located in or willing to work in Corpus Christi, TX; experience requirement: 0 years minimum.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Meditech electronic medical records; telemetry experience.
• Additional Information: Candidates should possess general medical/surgical competencies and be capable of managing chest tubes and drips (non-titrated Cardizem and Amiodarone). Scrub color required: royal blue. Unit policies and guidelines are available upon request.
