Job Summary
Medical Surgical Oncology Floor Registered Nurse (RN) located in the healthcare facility is responsible for delivering comprehensive, evidence-based patient care within the scope of practice defined by the California Nursing Practice Act, regulatory standards, and hospital policies. The RN assesses patients, develops individualized care plans, performs clinical interventions, monitors patient status, and educates patients and their families on managing care and preventing complications. This role involves collaborative teamwork and ongoing professional development to ensure quality care.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid California Registered Nurse (CA-RN) license, current American Heart Association Certification for Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university preferred, and 0 years of experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in oncology nursing or related specialty, additional certifications such as Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) certification, and familiarity with electronic health record systems.
  • Additional Information: The role requires the ability to rapidly recognize clinical issues, respond effectively to emergencies, and contribute to team building and ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
