Job Summary
Medical Surgical Oncology Floor RN Location: Mission Bay. This role involves providing specialized nursing care within a medical surgical oncology unit, supporting patient care coordination, and assisting providers with lab and result management. The position requires flexibility to float to other UCSF facilities as needed.

Job Details

  • Certifications and Education Requirements: CA Registered Nurse (RN) License, AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), minimum 1 year of nursing experience, including pediatric oncology preferred.
  • Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: CA RN license, AHA BLS certification, 1 year of nursing experience, Pediatric Oncology experience preferred.
  • Additional Information: The role may include elements of case management, patient care coordination, helping with lab ordering and results, triage of patient calls, and addressing patient care needs. Candidates must be comfortable with administering chemotherapy, monitoring neutropenic precautions, and managing pediatric oncology patients.
  • Submission Requirements: Candidates must provide references from most recent employment, and if previously employed by a University of California medical facility, employment history must be included.
