The role requires proficiency in inpatient chemotherapy administration, ensuring safe and effective treatment delivery.

Job Details:

  • Position Description: Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred. Active/unencumbered Hawaii RN license required; license pending status or 'willing to apply' will not be considered. BLS (Health Care Professional) and Chemotherapy certification REQUIRED. Oncology certification (OCN) strongly desired.
  • Professional Experience: Two (2) or more years of staff registered nurse experience in ambulatory oncology (excluding travel assignments). Must have inpatient chemotherapy administration experience. Experience caring for non-oncology patients in ambulatory settings is also necessary.
  • Certifications: Active Hawaii RN license, BLS (Health Care Professional), Chemotherapy certification, and oncology certification preferred.
  • Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
  • Additional Information: The nurse should be comfortable mixing IV medications and performing dose calculations. The role may include duties such as acting as a nursing assistant or safety sitter if not assigned to an RN role on their unit. All compliance elements must be completed and uploaded at least 10 days before the start date to avoid delays. Local Hawaii candidates are encouraged, but traveler contract options are not available for local residents.
