Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical Oncology Floor. The Registered Nurse provides comprehensive care to adult oncology patients, including those with leukemia and lymphoma, through assessment, planning, therapeutic intervention, care coordination, and documentation. The role supports evidence-based nursing practice and patient-centered care on a night-shift schedule.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN); Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA); New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license; chemotherapy administration competency; intravenous (IV) skills; telemetry experience; acute adult oncology experience specializing in inpatient leukemia and lymphoma care; minimum of two years of relevant experience; empathy and compassion.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); Telemetry-Chemotherapy Certification with the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS); five years of relevant experience.
- Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Weekends and holidays may be required when needed; no on-call requirement.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: Responsibilities include evaluating patients, assisting physicians with patient care, developing and coordinating individualized plans of care, performing therapeutic nursing interventions, managing patient care, documenting according to standards of care and clinical priorities, and advocating for evidence-based practices. Navy scrubs are required.
