Join our team as a Medical Surgical Oncology Registered Nurse in Columbus, OH! This contract position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic Med Surg unit with a focus on hematology and oncology. We are seeking experienced RNs who are passionate about patient care and have a strong background in Med Surg nursing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with various hematological and oncological diagnoses, including lymphoma, multiple myeloma, acute and chronic leukemias, and sickle cell disease.
• Administer chemotherapy, blood transfusions, and IV antibiotics.
• Manage oncologic emergencies, including tumor lysis syndrome and cytokine release syndrome.
• Implement infection prevention protocols and ensure patient safety to minimize falls.
• Utilize computerized charting through EPIC.

Requirements:

• Current RN license in Ohio.
• Med Surg experience is required; hematology oncology experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• ONS certification is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
• Strong skills in telemetry, including interpretation of dysrhythmias and monitoring.
• Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central line management.

This position requires flexibility with weekends and floating to other Med Surg and Oncology units based on patient needs. Staffing ratios aim for 1:4, but may vary.
