Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical Neuro – Portland, OR 97225

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Location: Portland, Oregon metropolitan area

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), with every other weekend required. Patient ratio 1:4. On-call coverage required if cancelled from shift. 13-week assignment with 40 hours of orientation.

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse license (Compact license accepted and must be in hand at submission)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year of recent neuro patient experience
• BLS certification and NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Proficient neuro skills including CVA care, pre/post neurosurgery, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and stroke management
• Experience with isolation precautions, peripheral line management, non-invasive airway management, and rapid response/code teams
• Must have reliable transportation for this assignment
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Commitment to work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
