Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring prior travel experience and a TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Medical-Surgical ICU unit setting
• 12-hour day shifts (7:00-19:00), 3x12 schedule
• 36 or 48 hour weekly options available
• Patient ratio of 1:2 to 1:3
• Charting performed in Epic

Requirements

• Active TX or Compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with IV therapy, central/arterial/PICC line management, and blood product administration
• Experience with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and respiratory suctioning
• Experience managing chronic/acute renal failure and titrating cardiac/vasoactive drips
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• Experience with IV insulin protocols
• Charge RN experience preferred
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in a Surgical ICU setting, with Neuro ICU experience preferred
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted
• Candidates residing in Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris counties are not accepted
• Former staff must wait one year before returning as a traveler
• No travel pairs or groups accepted
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
• Onboarding modules must be completed onsite during orientation
