Unit: Simon 2 NV Stepdown
Start Date: October 5, 2026
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Night Shift – 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Schedule: 3x12s – 36 hours/week
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in a Medical Stepdown/Intermediate Care Unit. The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients while collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote safe, evidence-based patient care.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Intermediate Care/Stepdown RN experience – Required
- Active RN License – Required
- BLS Certification – Required
- ACLS Certification – Required
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree – Preferred
- Strong patient assessment and clinical skills
- Excellent communication and computer skills
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process.
- Provide safe and individualized care to patients in an intermediate/stepdown setting.
- Monitor patient conditions and identify changes requiring intervention.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Promote evidence-based nursing practices and quality patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Demonstrate professionalism, respect, involvement, dignity, and excellence in daily practice.
- Utilize computer systems effectively for documentation and patient care.
