Description: Perform a variety of patient testing and administrative tasks in support of clinical activities. Maintain and investigate problems with equipment, test results, specimens, and workflow. Demonstrate laboratory knowledge and skills while working independently. Evaluate laboratory testing requests for appropriateness and apply critical decision-making skills to determine diagnostic testing needs. Participate on teams and perform special projects and assignments. Serve as a technical resource. Perform quality control, proficiency testing, and monitor accuracy and precision of laboratory testing. Prepare reagents and assist in the preparation of standard and control materials. Monitor reagent levels and assist in maintaining supplies. Participate in teaching various types of learners and training new employees. Perform other duties as assigned.
