This role specializes in laboratory settings with a focus on microbiology and Beaker LIS experience. Key Responsibilities of the Medical Laboratory Technician- Maintain acceptable accuracy in patient, quality assurance, proficiency, and competency testing
- Use clinical/theoretical knowledge to analyze, investigate, interpret, and report lab data
- Stay updated on personal training, education, and practice of policies and procedures
- Organize efficiently for optimal use of time, materials, cost, and availability of lab data
- Communicate effectively for information monitoring, investigation, resolution, and team hand-off
Requirements of the Medical Laboratory Technician- MLT certification (AAB, AMT, ASCP, or Provisional within 18 months)
- Associates degree in Medical Technology or related field
- Minimum 1 year of laboratory experience
- Microbiology and Beaker LIS experience is required
