The shift is 7 on and 7 off, with hours from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. The Medical Lab Scientist will perform point of care testing. The role includes performing clerical duties as assigned in support of operations. This position can offer an extension up to 26 weeks if the candidate is interested. The laboratory has 10 treatment rooms and is staffed by 8 Lab Technologists. The daily responsibilities include the maintenance of equipment, quality control, and calibrations. Patient testing, specimen processing, and preparation of send outs for transport are required. Staff will be responsible for stocking lab supplies and routine cleaning of lab surfaces. Communication with clinical staff is necessary, as the role interfaces with both lab and non-lab personnel. The environment requires adherence to standard lab safety protocols as required by relevant regulations.
