Responsible for quality control, instrument maintenance, and specimen procurement and processing. Performs blood collection duties in a timely manner to ensure availability of test results as needed. Keeps abreast of changes and updates to technical procedures. Consistently follows established protocols for interpreting and verifying test results. Recognizes abnormal or inconsistent results and investigates appropriately and timely. Notifies leadership of potential problems immediately to avoid compromising patient care. Consistently completes work assignments in a timely manner by prioritizing and multitasking as appropriate. Adjusts to fluctuating workloads, positively cooperating in situations where additional work is required. Maintains workstations in a clean and organized manner. Follows specific procedures to correctly operate instrumentation. Performs and documents required instrument maintenance as specified.
