Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Intensive Care Unit Medical, Bakersfield, California. The Registered Nurse delivers coordinated nursing care for assigned patients in accordance with established standards and the nursing process. The position supervises assigned nursing staff, coordinates interdisciplinary care, and applies critical thinking and independent judgment in a critical care setting.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice; Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification from the American Red Cross (ARC).
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree; acute care facility experience.
- Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Responsibilities include assessing patients, developing and implementing care plans, evaluating outcomes, coordinating care delivery, promoting a safe and healing environment, providing health education, participating in discharge planning, and delegating duties appropriately to healthcare team members.
