Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit Medical Registered Nurse (RN) position available in Peoria, Illinois. This role involves providing advanced patient care in a MICU setting, with responsibilities including interpreting EKG strips, managing arterial and central lines, and titrating vasoactive and cardioactive medications. The shift is scheduled for daytime hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.

Job Details:

Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Active Illinois nursing license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated; BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association) certifications; minimum of 1 year of RN ICU experience; ability to interpret EKG strips, use arterial and central lines, proficient in ventilated patient care, and advanced knowledge in titrating vasopressors and other titratable medications.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with COVID-19 patient care and prior ICU experience in high-acuity settings.
Additional Information: The ICU is equipped with ventilators, C-PAP, Bipap, High Flow oxygen delivery systems, and telemetry monitors monitored by tele techs. The unit operates 24/7 intensivist support, and staff may be required to troubleshoot equipment and read telemetry strips. The orientation includes Epic training, shadowing, and preceptor support. No specific scrubs color is mandated.
