Description

American Traveler is hiring a Medical ICU RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring 2+ years of critical care experience and an active AR or compact RN license.

Details

  • Work in a 32-bed Medical ICU unit within an acute care hospital
  • Patient ratios of 2:1 and 3:1
  • Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Every other weekend required
  • Floating to stepdown and med surg units required
  • Uses EPIC EMR system

Requirements

  • Active AR or compact RN license
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Minimum 2+ years of critical care experience required
  • CCRN certification preferred
  • Must pass a medication and math competency exam prior to administering medications

Additional Information

  • Fast-paced unit seeking upbeat and driven nurses
  • Black scrubs required; open-toe shoes not permitted
  • Up to 5 days of requested time off allowed, must be made up during the assignment
  • Candidates within 50 miles of the facility are considered local and subject to a reduced bill rate
  • Local subcontractor staff limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts before requiring a 1-year separation or transfer to a facility outside the 50-mile radius
  • No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months
