Clinical Duties:
Prepare patients for examination and treatment
Take and record patient vitals and medical histories
Assist physicians during examinations and minor surgeries
Collect and prepare laboratory specimens
Perform basic laboratory tests
Administer medications as directed by a physician
Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs)
Change dressings and remove sutures
Administrative Duties:
Schedule patient appointments
Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries
Manage patient records and update information in electronic health records (EHR)
Handle billing, coding, and insurance documentation
Maintain inventory of medical supplies and ensure exam rooms are stocked
