Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – Cardiology | Temp-to-Hire OpportunityPosition Overview
- This is a temporary-to-hire contract position — candidates must be open to converting to permanent staff
- Pay rate upon full-time conversion is approximately $21–$22/hour

Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- Shift times will range between 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

- Interviews conducted via Microsoft Teams
Responsibilities
- Room patients
- Take and record vital signs
- Patient education
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) documentation
- Other tasks as assigned
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 18 months working in a physician office setting
- Cardiology experience highly preferred
- EPIC EMR experience is a preference for this practice
Orientation & Training
- 1-hour orientation with HR upon start
- EMR training — dates to be determined based on start date
- HIPAA Module — approximately 15 minutes
- 4-Hour PennChart Training for MAs — held on Fridays from 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM; must be completed prior to start
- 4-Day PennChart Scheduling Training for PSRs — held onsite, Tuesday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM; candidates must pass a test at the end of training; retakes are available if unable to pass on the first attempt
- CSAs are required to complete both the MA PennChart training and the PSR PennChart Scheduling training
Compliance Requirements
- Compliance documentation is due on the Wednesday before the start date
- Candidates must be ready to begin the compliance process immediately upon accepting the position
- Medicals and drug screens must be initiated within 72 hours of accepting the offer
- Failure to begin compliance requirements within 72 hours may result in cancellation of the contract
Dress Code / Attire
- MAs and CSAs are required to wear burgundy/maroon scrubs
