Medical Assistant (MA) – Temp-to-Hire | Doylestown, PAContract Overview
  • Contract length: 8 weeks, with extensions to meet 520 hours, with the opportunity to convert to a permanent position
  • This is a Temp-to-Hire opportunity — candidates must be interested in converting to full-time staff
  • Pay rate upon full-time conversion: approximately $21–$22/hour
  • Program: Local Contract Allied Health
Schedule
  • Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for exams and procedures
  • Obtain vital signs and medical histories
  • Assist physicians with procedures and testing
  • Collect and process specimens
  • Perform EKGs and injections
  • Support patient mobility and transportation
  • Maintain exam rooms, equipment, supplies, and sterilization standards
  • Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other team members to maintain efficient patient flow
  • Deliver excellent patient and family service
  • Assist with pre-certifications
  • Train new staff or interns as needed
  • Support workflow improvements across the department
Candidate Requirements
  • Minimum 18 months of Medical Assistant experience required
  • EPIC knowledge is highly preferred
  • Must be highly motivated and eager to learn
  • Must be dependable and able to effectively multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong time management and organizational skills are essential
Interview Process
  • Interviews will be conducted via Microsoft Teams
Compliance Requirements
  • Compliance documentation is due on the Wednesday before the start date
  • Candidates must be ready to begin the compliance process immediately upon accepting the award
  • Medicals and drug screens must be started within 72 hours of accepting the award
  • Candidates who do not begin this requirement within 72 hours are at risk of the contract being cancelled
Required Training
  • HIPAA Module (15 minutes)
  • 4-Hour PennChart Training for MAs — held on Fridays from 8:00 AM–1:00 PM; must be completed prior to start
  • 4-Day PennChart Scheduling Training for PSRs — onsite, Tuesday through Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM; candidates must pass a test at the end of training; retakes are available if unable to pass the first time
  • CSAs are required to complete both of the above outlined trainings
Dress Code
  • MAs and CSAs wear burgundy/maroon scrubs
