Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, skilled care to patients in an ambulatory Hematology/Oncology clinic
- Perform venipuncture and phlebotomy with confidence and a gentle touch
- Assist with order transcription and chart abstraction to ensure accurate patient records
- Collaborate with a dedicated clinical team to support patients through their cancer journey
- Maintain a safe, welcoming, and organized environment in the clinic and lab
- Use Epic and Cerner systems to document and coordinate patient care efficiently
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant - Certified (MA-C) credential required
- Current BLS Certification required
- Minimum 2 years of relevant medical assisting experience
- Valid driver's license required at time of submission
- Strong venipuncture and phlebotomy experience is a must
- Proficiency in Epic EHR system is required
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of oncology and hematology patient care in an ambulatory setting
- Skilled in order transcription and chart abstraction
- Comfortable working with EHR systems like Epic and Cerner
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, compassionate clinical environment
