  • Pay Rate:$32 to $35 per hour
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Welcome, room, and prepare patients for examinations and procedures
  • Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, medication lists, and chief complaints
  • Assist physicians and advanced practice providers with examinations and minor procedures
  • Perform clinical tasks such as injections, immunizations, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing within scope of practice
  • Prepare examination rooms, equipment, and supplies for daily clinical operations
  • Accurately document patient information and clinical activities in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Provide clear communication and patient education in both English and the required second language
  • Assist patients with appointment scheduling, referrals, follow-up instructions, and other administrative needs
  • Help patients understand medications, treatment plans, preventive care instructions, and provider recommendations
  • Coordinate with providers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support efficient patient flow
  • Maintain adequate clinical supplies and assist with inventory management
  • Follow infection prevention, HIPAA, OSHA, and patient safety standards
  • Protect patient privacy and maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Support a welcoming, culturally responsive, and patient-centered clinical environment
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
  • Current Medical Assistant certification such as CMA, RMA, or CCMA required by facility
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Assistant experience
  • Bilingual proficiency required in English and and Spanish
  • Current BLS Certification required
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and patient care workflows
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a busy healthcare setting
  • Commitment to compassionate, respectful, and high-quality patient care
