RN (Registered Nurse) | Travel | Medical Acute Care Unit | Location: IL

Assignment Overview

Seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Medical Acute Care Unit specializing in general medical care. The ideal candidate will have experience in general medicine and demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills. This role requires proficiency in handling telemetry patients and working in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide care for patients in a 20-bed general medical unit
  • Maintain patient-to-nurse ratios of 1:4/5 on day shifts and 1:5/6 on night shifts
  • Collaborate with charge nurse and house supervisor for patient care management
  • Engage in unit-specific orientation and adhere to floating and weekend/holiday requirements

Qualifications

Required:

  • Active IL license or confirmation that application process has been initiated
  • Gen Med experience
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • BLS certification (AHA)
  • Negative drug screen for all panels
