Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position requiring Epic charting and Level 1 Trauma experience.

Details

  • Med/Surg unit (7C Med Resp) in a hospital setting
  • Night shift schedule, 7pm-730am, 36 hours per week, 3 shifts per week
  • Rotating weekend and holiday shifts required
  • May float to other Carle Health facilities including Methodist Hospital, Young Minds, Pekin Hospital, and Proctor Hospital
  • Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

  • Active Illinois RN license in good standing required
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
  • Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience required
  • ASN required, BSN preferred
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Level 1 Trauma experience required

Additional Information

  • Serves as the primary caregiver for an assigned group of patients, applying the nursing process to deliver individualized care
  • Completes initial patient assessments and develops care plans based on patient and family needs
  • Maintains accurate documentation to support continuity of care across the healthcare team
  • Modifies care plans based on ongoing patient evaluation
  • Upholds patient and employee safety standards, reporting and addressing hazards as needed
  • Collaborates with colleagues and contributes to peer professional development
  • Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
  • RTO may not exceed 7 total days within the 13-week contract
  • Prior Carle Health contingent workers must complete a 6-month break in service if they exceeded 1 year of continuous assignment before returning
