Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry Step Down unit requiring Med/Surg or Step Down experience and a current OK or compact RN license.

Details

• Med Specialty Step Down unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, 3 days per week
• Cares for a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact (eNLC) license
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Med/Surg or Step Down experience required
• ICU experience and ACLS certification preferred
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Full date of birth and Social Security number required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides direct nursing care, documents patient responses, administers medications, and monitors IV infusions and blood products
• Assists physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures and treatments
• Communicates care plans with patients and families and coordinates discharge planning
• Delegates tasks to support staff as needed
• Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• Compliance and credentialing deadlines are strictly enforced with no flexibility for start date delays
