Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift hospital position requiring AL or compact RN licensure and med/surg telemetry experience.

Details

  • Hospital-based Med/Surg Telemetry acute care unit with multiple potential unit assignments including Heart/Stroke, Pulmonary, Oncology, and Subintensive Medical units
  • Patient ratios of 1:5 or 1:6
  • Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • 36 or 48 hours per week accepted
  • Every other weekend required
  • Every holiday required
  • Float to other units or hospitals required
  • Uses Meditech EMR

Requirements

  • Active RN license (Alabama State or Compact) required, no temporary or pending licenses accepted
  • AHA BLS or Red Cross BLS certification required
  • ACLS certification preferred
  • Associate degree in nursing required
  • 2 years overall experience in specialty required, or 18 months with 1 year of recent experience in the specialty
  • No prior license violations or hits, past or current

  • Provide acute care nursing to med/surg telemetry patients across multiple hospital units
  • Solid navy scrub color dress code
  • Local candidates accepted at the same rates with no mile radius restrictions
  • Virtual orientation includes competency-based modules
  • First-time travelers may be considered
