Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a day-shift hospital assignment requiring 2+ years of Med/Surg/Tele/Neuro experience and active IL RN licensure.

Details

  • Inpatient Med/Surg/Telemetry unit caring for MS/TEL admissions
  • 12-hour day shift schedule
  • Every other weekend required
  • Holiday coverage required as needed
  • First to float to other Med/Surg/Tele units
  • No on-call requirements

Requirements

  • Active IL RN license required; temporary IL license accepted if permanent application submission receipt is provided
  • Current BLS certification (American Heart or American Red Cross accepted)
  • NIHSS certification required
  • Must pass EKG test with 80% or higher score prior to consideration, plus an onsite pass/fail EKG test on Day 1 of orientation
  • Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg/Tele/Neuro experience required
  • New graduates not accepted
  • Epic EMR experience required and must be reflected in employment history
  • Two current professional references from a Supervisor/Manager/Charge in the relevant care area within the last year; at least one travel reference preferred

Additional Information

  • Provide direct patient care to inpatient Med/Surg/Telemetry admissions
  • Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
  • Returning permanent or per diem staff must have been separated for at least 12 months to be considered as a traveler
  • RTO limited to a maximum of 3 days for 8-week contracts and 7 days for 13-week contracts
  • Candidates should be prepared for a brief onsite interview of approximately 10-15 minutes
