Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN - Telemetry for a night shift contract requiring an IL license and 2+ years of telemetry experience.

Details

  • Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
  • 12-hour night shifts, 19:00 start
  • Every other weekend required
  • Holiday coverage as needed
  • First to float to like units as needed
  • No on-call requirements
  • 8-week contract length
  • Weekly orientation schedule with 16 non-billable orientation hours

Requirements

  • Active IL RN license required
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience required, 4+ years preferred
  • New graduates not accepted
  • Must pass an EKG test with a score of 80% or higher prior to consideration
  • Must pass an on-site EKG test on Day 1 of orientation to continue the assignment
  • Epic EMR experience required and must be noted in employment history
  • 2 current professional references from a Supervisor, Manager, or Charge nurse in a related area within the last year, travel reference preferred

Additional Information

  • Local candidates accepted at the same rate
  • Returning permanent or per diem staff must be away for 12 months before being eligible to return as a traveler
  • RTO for 8-week contracts limited to a maximum of 3 days
  • Candidates will participate in a facility interview lasting approximately 10-15 minutes
  • First-time travelers are not specified as accepted or excluded
