Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Cardiac Tele Registered Nurse in Stockbridge, GA. This contract position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing care for a diverse patient population. We are seeking experienced RNs with a strong background in telemetry and cardiac care.

Minimum Experience: 2 years - First-time travelers not accepted.

Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics.

Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS.

General Skills and Work Setting Requirements:

• Overflow IMCU; Arrhythmia management; Cardioversion, Cardiac CHF, Chest pain, Renal, Pulmonary (COPD, pulmonary edema) PE, DVT.
• Cardiac Arrhythmias (stable A-Fib, SVT, Bradycardia).
• Surgical (cholecystectomy, appy's, chest tubes, biliary drains).
• Occasional vascular patients, Post Cardiac Cath, TR Bands, DKA.
• Occasional Ortho or CVA patient overflow - These patients are transferred as soon as possible to the appropriate unit.
• Basic arrhythmia knowledge.

Ratio / Census: 1:5-6; 32 beds.

Unit Systems: Epic (Preferred), Pyxis, SBAR.

Scrub Color: Navy Blue.

RTO: Maximum of 7 days per contract.

Weekends: Typically every other weekend though permanent staff get scheduled first and the travelers fill in the gaps as needed.

Floating: Yes, within the facility/scope of practice as needed.

Call Requirements: Call is rare, response time is 2 hours.

Holidays: If one major holiday falls in the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both. If three major holidays fall in the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays. Major Holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year's Eve/New Year's Day.

Compliance: Full compliance required to start on time; if not compliant in time, the push back is 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule.

Client Offer: Candidates will be reviewed by clinical staff to determine clinical fit. If clinical pass and within guidelines, candidates will be sent to the manager for final decision. Clinical screens will be sent on a case-by-case basis. Locals accepted - Same rate.

Please Note: Number of Non-Billable Orientation (NBO) Hours is determined by contract length (e.g., 8 hours for an 8-week assignment; 19 hours for a 19-week assignment).
