Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry position requiring 2+ years of MS/Tel experience and an IL RN license.

Details

  • Hospital-based Telemetry unit position
  • 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
  • 36 hours per week
  • Every other weekend required
  • Holiday coverage as needed
  • Floating required to all 4 Med-Surg/Telemetry units at the facility
  • No on-call requirements
  • 6-week contract length

Requirements

  • Active IL RN license required (temporary license accepted if permanent application has been submitted)
  • Active BLS certification (American Heart or American Red Cross accepted)
  • Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg/Telemetry experience required
  • New graduates not accepted
  • Must pass onsite EKG test on first day of orientation
  • Must complete EKG test with score of 80% or higher prior to consideration
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • 2 current references from a Supervisor/Manager/Charge within the relevant unit required, dated within the last year
  • At least one travel reference preferred

Additional Information

  • Provide telemetry nursing care within a Med-Surg/Telemetry unit rotation
  • 8 hours of classroom orientation with first shift serving as unit orientation
  • Local candidates accepted at the same rate
  • Returning permanent or per diem staff must be separated for 12 months before being submitted as a traveler
  • RTO limited based on contract length, with shorter contracts allowing fewer days off
  • First-time travelers may be considered if experience requirements are met
