Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring an active AL or compact license and proficiency in cardiac drips.

Details

• Work in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit of a hospital setting
• Care for an adult and geriatric patient population
• Patient ratios of up to 1:6-7
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts based on traveler preference
• Block scheduling offered

Requirements

• Active AL or compact RN license required in hand at time of submittal
• Current certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Proficiency required in cardiac drips including cardizem, tridil, and amiodarone
• Experience in large healthcare facilities required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care within a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside at least 90 miles from the facility; local candidates will not be accepted
• Former permanent staff are not eligible to apply for 10 years following separation
• Travelers who complete 2 consecutive contracts must take a 6-month break before returning, with exceptions considered case-by-case
